My personal Finance Major

To obtain a "Certificate" which is pretty much equivalent to a minor at CSU, I would have to take these 3 classes. So I decided it would be a great idea, to purchase the books that these classes were taught with. Gallagher's book is ranked 3rd for financial management. Essentials of Investment, I found out has been the basis of all investment books for about 10 years now, So I am really excited to start it. As for financial institutions, I could not find out much about it besides that it is expensive and people give it a high reading, but a few people dislike the wording of the sentences, saying it is confusing.

No matter what, I am excited. If I can not stay in school and get the piece of paper that said I completed it, I will know that I did it.

Financial Management, Principles and Practice, Gallagher
Essentials of Investments, Bodie Kane Marcus
Financial Institutions, Markets, and Money, Kidwell, Blackwell

My Quest.

To whom it may concern,

There will be nothing in this blog for a few weeks, if not months. I am sorry. I am a senior at Colorado State University studying Business Marketing. I have been fascinated with the world of business ever since my freshman year of college when the school of business dragged me out of the school of architecture.

I am a mere 7 months away from graduating, but I feel like my thirst for knowledge has not been quenched. I came up with 3 different ways to conquer my quest for addition knowledge.

  1. Stay in school and obtain a second undergrad degree
  2. Go to grad school
  3. Study the subjects I want to know more about on my own
As you can guess, two of these options are very expensive. So, I have decided to purchase a few of the top finance / Law / Econ / Supply Chain Management books on the market and become my own professor.

I realize how dumb this may sound, someone who wants to stay in school? Yes, I am different, I know it. I have a drive that is unmatched, I strive to be the best I can be at whatever I do.

I decided to start this blog to document what I am doing, I will end up scanning my notes into my blog when I finish them. I will be updating this blog a lot, and if any one actually reads this, I challenge you to work through the books when I am.
